9-12 PROJECT HAYWOOD COUNTY

HAYWOOD COUNTY
NORTH CAROLINA

WHAT IS THE 9/12 PROJECT?

Patriotic Americans across the county have come together in huge numbers to peacefully direct our country back to the principles and values we were founded on. Millions of people have become involved in 9-12 Project groups to work in a non-partisan way to re-establish the representative aspect of our government. “We The People” expect to be represented; not political parties, not special interests and not the self interest of elected officials. The goals of the 9-12 Project Haywood County North Carolina are as follows:

• Impassion the silent majority of Americans who cherish our freedoms and will work to preserve them.
• Work to return government to the principles and values of “the founders” for our children and future generations.
• Qualify, recruit, and elect candidates for office from both parties that are principled and fiscally responsible.
• Monitor the performance of office holders as they represent their constituents and not their party leadership, special interests or their own self interest.
• Communicate with office holders at all levels the opinions of the people who elected them regarding pending issues.
• Re-establish honesty and accountability in our law makers by informing “we the people” of what our representatives are doing vs. what they are saying.
• Educate citizens about The Constitution and the role of government, as provided for it, in that foundation of our country.
• Help build a peaceful movement strong enough to impact the next election.
• Restore our society to a rule of law rather than a rule of exception and accommodation. Do the crime --- do the time.
• Proceed in our efforts in such a way as to express gratitude for the philosophies and actions of the founding fathers.

Join The 9-12 Project

Hello ...
As we get organized - these are the original ideas we discussed. This is a local County group. Haywood site: http://9-12projecthaywoodcountync.ning.com/ or State wide site - http://the9-12projectnorthcarolina.ning.com/ Click Here to visit the web site.

Summary of our Plans:
Create a study group
1. Study Declaration of Independence
2. Study the Constitution
Glenn Beck recommended reading
1. The Real George Washington
2. The 5000 Year Leap
We are Not Democrats or Republicans - we are Americans:
1. We agree with 7 out of the 9 Principles
2. Participate in regional Projects to implement the Principles

We will be discovering what the Founding Fathers thought when they wrote these documents. These documents are the basis of our way of life.

We Look forward to getting started,
We Are Not Alone

9 Principles and 12 Values (Basis of The 9-12 Project)

9 Principles:
1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

12 Values: Honesty Reverence Hope Thrift Humility Charity Sincerity Moderation Hard Work Courage Personal Responsibility Gratitude

Remember: If you agree with 7 out of the 9 Principles... You Are Not Alone

Thomas Jefferson - a Founding Father

Thomas Jefferson: in some cases could be called a prophet.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. -Thomas Jefferson

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world. Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government. Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical. Thomas Jefferson

Very Interesting Quote In light of the present financial crisis, it's interesting to read what Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.'
WE ARE ALMOST THERE
